Research tests frequency of elimination of leptospires in urine in cows and sheep

Researchers at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, and the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Cattle of Milk, in Valença, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, have demonstrated through experimentation that leptospiral shedding is intermittent in sheep, regardless of the strain of leptospira inoculated.
